4. Occupation: Something computer-sciency, or somewhere in the modern tech industry. (oh brothger this guy STINKS)
5. Socioeconomic status: Middle class. Able to afford a single-person apartment in a city.
6. Education: Out of college with a computer science or business degree.
7. Other notes: Is a NOVN, or Neutron Originating Variable Alien. He'd undergone a 'workplace accident' (as he calls it) that basically forced his life-energy into an orb, which he creates his physical form around. This means that he can completely separate parts of his physical form, or cause it to flicker in and out of visibility, something that tends to happen when he's stressed. This takes a lot of energy out of him, and is basically the only real interesting thing about him as a person... except him being a bit horny.

Some drawings of him grappling with his new NOVN form. Not exactly a happy camper, at least until he realizes this can help him steal from chain stores.
The world in which he resides is analogous to our own, at least for humans. However,
Jaden is at least now one of the few people who know that aliens exist, and that at least
one species of them can shapeshift in ways that mimic human forms. He also learns that
there is technology essentially turning people into human batteries, because he becomes
one of those things after a kidnapping from a creepy coworker with a secret lab under his
favorite bar.
His main conflict, at first, is overcoming loneliness from a life of bitchless-ness, which
is resolved when August (the alien) comes along and is finally able to match his internal
freak.
